Hailey is the type of dog you could take anywhere since she has a great personality and she gets along with everyone, including strangers.  She also isn't timid of new situations or unfamiliar noises.  Hailey is also...

  • Gets along with other small dogs.  There are 5 other dogs in the house she's currently living who weigh 7 to 16 lbs and she gets along with all of them.

  • Loves to play with other small dogs

  • Crate trained

  • Treat motivated

  • Walks well on a leash (harness is recommended for all our dogs)

  • Has not been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them

  • Lives in a home with parrots and doesn't pay attention to them.

  • Housetrained using the crate training method.  Her foster mom can't remember when she last had an accident in the house.  Hailey does not know how to ask to go out since her foster mom who has many dogs straight from shelters in her home  takes them out all together in her backyard several times a day.

  • Dachshund mix.  We're not sure what she's mixed with--- it could be Spaniel of some sort or it could be Corgi making her a "Dorgi" (Doxie + Corgi) but she doesn't have the hearding breed or working dog personality of a Corgi Her personality is more spaniel than anything.

  • Has a thick, plush coat

  • 12 months old

  • 15.5 lbs

  • Microchipped

  • Shots up to date

  • Healthy

  • All medical paperwork provided

  • Respectful children 8 and up

3.  If we think you and Hailey could be a great fit we'll contact you within 72 hours of receiving your application.    We're a very small volunteer-based rescue taking care of lots of animals so we don't have time to contact everyone who applies or respond to all inquires.  We're very sorry and we're hoping this will change soon.
