Abbie

Abbie's owner passed away and Abbie ended up at a local shelter. Her owner must have loved Abbie very much because she was clearly taken care of and was much loved. We couldn't stand to see her there at the shelter so we took her in.
Our Abbie is gentle soul who is:
-
Calm
-
Mellow
-
Good-natured
-
Very quiet
-
Loyal
-
Lapdog
-
Easy keeper
-
Loves her walks and gets very excited when she sees her leash
-
Enjoys going to restaurants and is a dog you could take anywhere since she's sweet and well adjusted
-
Loves strangers
-
Low energy level
-
Gets along well with other dogs
-
Sometimes is seen playing with other dogs
-
Has very soft hair which makes her even more relaxing to pet
-
Non-shedding so she's a good choice for people who don't want fur on their furniture but she does require regular grooming
-
Housetraining: We have no doubt Abbie was housetrained in her previous home, but she spent many days in a local shelter getting only one walk a day, so we've had to re-housetrain by our usual method of taking her out frequently and also using the crate training method, so adopters should be prepared to take her out frequently at first themselves. We do not know if she'll ask to go out when first in your home.
-
Hasn't been with cats under our care so we don't know how she is with them but she's so low key and doesn't show a prey drive we'd believe she'd be okay
-
Based on Abbie's body style, round eyes, curly tail, and cute under bite she may be Shih Tzu mix.
-
Lives in a foster home with parrots and doesn't pay attention to them
-
Spayed female
-
Up-to-date on vaccinations
-
Microchipped
-
Estimated 5 years old by the shelter she came from
-
15.7 lbs but is pleasantly plump
-
Has clean teeth
-
Has no known health issues
-
Adopters must reside in San Diego County
-
All paperwork provided to adopter
